My name is Amanda Hartley and I am the new Volunteer & Development Coordinator here at New Life Furniture Bank! I found myself drawn to the mission that New Life serves and feel so privileged to be able to join the team. My previous work experience in various corporate settings has shown me that success relies on team effort. This seemed natural for me to gravitate towards such an important role . For most of my adult life I have always sought out ways to pass on furniture or housewares that I no longer needed. It seemed wasteful to throw the item away, not to mention bad for the environment. Now I can be part of the solution and look forward to seeing members of the community around us help those in need. It’s a message that I teach my two girls, ages seven and six, and for them to see it in my job will be very rewarding.
