About New Life

New Life Furniture Bank of MA is a volunteer-led nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that accepts furniture and household items and makes them available at no charge to those in need through referring agencies.

Our Mission

We provide gently used household furnishings to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.

Our Vision

We envision a future where no one is forced to live, eat, or sleep on the floor.

Who we serve

We assist individuals and families who are transitioning out of homelessness, fire survivors, those escaping domestic violence, military veterans and refugees. Regardless of the situation they are striving to overcome, they share a common theme; the need for a new beginning.

How we help

By empowering those we serve with the means to furnish their home, we are providing comfort, security and hope as they rebuild their lives. At the same time, we give our donors a meaningful way to recycle their gently used furniture and housewares while keeping these items out of landfills.

Our Values

Collaboration

We rely on a network of financial and furniture donors, volunteers, and referral agencies to achieve our mission.

Community

We value our community of volunteers, whom dedicate their time, energy, and talents.

Integrity

We are open and accountable to the donors that support us, the clients we serve, and the volunteers that drive us.

Sustainability

We are committed to helping the environment by keeping usable furniture and household items out of landfills and properly recycling what we cannot use. View current green impact data.

Dignity

We treat each client with respect and caring, giving them individual attention and the opportunity to select their own furniture.

Our Beginning

Ron Yates and Doug Marshall were instrumental in the startup and development of the Tri-Valley Chapter of South Shore’s Habitat for Humanity several years ago. Recognizing the need for gently-used furniture from Habitat experiences as well as personal experiences, Ron and Doug researched the possibility of a furniture bank in their area. Under Ron and Doug’s leadership, New Life was introduced to the public on September 13, 2013 at Medfield Day. They bring many years of public and private company experience to the organization. Ron is the former CEO of a group of small manufacturing companies and Doug is a Market Executive for a large financial institution.

We will be closed from December 24th through January 1st. We will not be open for drop-off on Saturday, December 28th
