A bed to sleep on, a table to eat at, and a pan to cook in help provide stability for our clients, but living in an apartment still comes at a significant cost. The first trip to the store to buy basic household essentials, such as cleaning supplies and toilet paper, can be very expensive for those with little or nothing to begin. A laundry basket filled with practical everyday living items reduces the financial burden of getting started in a new apartment and helps those transitioning from homelessness find stability.
Fill laundry baskets with the items listed. All items must be new. One basket will be given per household.

Young Israel of Sharon
Seeking a way to volunteer remotely during the coronavirus pandemic, the Social Action Committee at Young Israel of Sharon gathered as a small group at someone's house to put together housewarming baskets. In doing so, Young Israel of Sharon was able to support our clients transitioning out of homelessness while also staying safe.
