In 2002, family members of the victims, first responders, and citizens of the September 11, 2001 attacks sought a way to honor and create a lasting legacy for their loved ones by establishing an annual national day of service. Since then, millions of Americans have commemorated 9/11 by performing both big and small acts of service in their community on the anniversary. In 2009, Congress formally established the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance to bring a wider audience to this important day.

New Life Furniture Bank of MA would like to partake in this tradition by encouraging members of our community to volunteer with us throughout September. By giving just a few hours to us every week, you will be joining volunteers across the country in honoring the sacrifice of the families affected by 9/11. Join us in being a part of a national tradition all month long. Visit newlifefb.org/vol to sign up for opportunities.
