We set the ambitious goal of raising $135,000 knowing the number of individuals and families needing our services continues to grow exponentially in this pandemic. Changing World, Changing Needs, Changing Lives was about the need to scale our virtual operations to meet the rising demand and turn hardship into hope, loss into comfort, and need into joy. We are proud to announce that the New Life community came together and smashed our goal and raised over $150,000 in a few short months. Thank you for your overwhelming support during such a challenging time.
As we head into a new year, we are developing a new inventory and online store within the software you may have already become familiar with as a volunteer. Developed just for us, the software efficiently manages operations all in one place. We will be the only furniture bank in the country with this technology. More importantly, we will be able to serve more clients this year than we did pre-COVID.
In addition to scaling our virtual operations, we will be continuing our delivery pilot project. This will allow us to deliver necessary furniture and household goods to clients that previously would have had to bear the cost of renting a moving truck and move the furniture themselves.
Working together, we have shown what tremendous things this community can accomplish in difficult times.
