Current Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Appointments are in blocks of 3. The evening block (4, 5, 6 p.m.) used to be 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 to allow a half hour buffer between each block. But it was moved back a half hour to accommodate volunteer preferences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scheduling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • The Operations Manager makes the schedule with input from the Client Administrator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The Volunteer and Development Coordinator fills Client Host appointments and finds alternates. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Alternates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Who’s an alternate?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Weekly scheduled Client Hosts are tagged as “Virtual Client Hosts” in the software. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Alternates – or trained volunteers that can fill in for other Client Hosts – are tagged as “Alternate Client Hosts” in the software. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The Volunteer and Development Coordinator will update the software tags accordingly. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Procedures<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Once an alternate is scheduled for a Client Host, the Client Host forfeits their spot for that day\/time even if they become available. If no alternate is found, the Client Host may jump back in at the last minute. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The Volunteer and Development Coordinator will change the Client Hosts linked to the referral(s) by the Friday before the appointment if there is a change OR<\/strong> notify the Client Administrator of the change. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
