About #

  • Community-oriented business – opens front space to the community
  • Customers smash items
  • Smash It 2 tries not to send stuff to the landfill
    • Smashed items are used to make artwork
  • Hiring program for at-risk Worcester youth

Pickup #

Smash It 2 will pick up once/month.  They can come more frequently if needed and can come with a phone call.  They will provide us a tote that gets switched out with each visit.  They will take pallets of broken items.  

Processes #

  1. As volunteers sort for NLFB, they can take good items and leave broken misfits in a Smash It 2 box for storage. 
  2. New Life will palletize the boxes. 
  3. Smash It 2 will come to Walpole to pick up the tote or pallet and leave an empty tote. 

Over a couple of months we will monitor how much we have to donate and alter the pick up cadence as needed.
