About #
- Fiddleheads is a consignment store with a storefront and an online presence.
- Antique, collectible, modern, or unique items sell well at Fiddleheads.
- New Life has been consigning with Fiddleheads for many years.
Drop-off #
Note that the shop is in a strip mall in the wing with the paint store on the corner, and it is the furthest shop from the road.
Processes #
- The New Life Operations Manager identifies items that can be consigned. See consignment policy.
- The items are measured and photographed (front, sides, inside, brand names, flaws).
- The pictures are stored in a Google Folder and items and photos are given an identification number.
- A spreadsheet is updated
- The Google Folder with pictures and spreadsheet is shared with consignor.
- Fiddleheads selects the items they would like to consign.
- Alternate Process: The Fiddleheads management may visit New Life to choose artwork or furniture from a lot. Pictures of the items should be taken of the chosen items prior to delivery
- New Life delivers the items on an agreed upon date and time.
- Fiddleheads posts the status of the consigned items on locked server so New Life can monitor sales.
- Fiddleheads gives a portion of the sales to New Life, including a portion of the sales from a clearance status.
