Dollies

Do not stand or ride on dollies.
If putting one foot on the dolly is necessary, one foot should always be on the floor and other volunteers should be holding the dolly still.
Distribute heavy weight as evenly as possible to avoid breaking the wheels.
To avoid breaking the wheels, 1) the elevator should be lined up within a ½” of the floor when loading/unloading and 2) heavy weight should be distributed evenly.
If a dolly breaks or feels like it’s going to break, notify the Operations Manager, leave the dolly aside, and put a note on it so others don’t use it.
Level the elevator so that it is within a 1/2 inch roughly before rolling a dolly on or off when there is weight on it. This has led to wheels breaking.
