About #
- The Blessing Barn Home Store is a thrift store and sharing center in Mendon, MA. All items sold are donated by people in the community. The profits of the sales at our store go directly into the community by sponsoring our crisis care programs operated by our Non-Profit, Compassion New England. There are Blessing Barn stores in Mendon, Mattapan, and Beacon Hill, MA.

Drop-off #
- Drop off donations in Mendon
- Home goods: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Furniture and 6+ boxes of home goods: Call for appointment (Sometimes not needed, if we have contacted Shana and she has approved the donation). Be sure to tell the receiver that Shana approved the donation.
- Pictures prior to drop off are appreciated. Shana may nix some items.
Processes #
- Email or text Shana with a list of items that we can donate. This can be a broad description. Photos are helpful
- Shana will tell us what they can use or will take.
- Pack and deliver to Blessing Barn in Mendon
- Pull up to the driveway, you’ll see the front porch with glass double doors and a sign with arrows directing you to go left. Any furniture what was confirmed for donation will be dropped off at the double doors.
- You’ll then go down a little hill and you’ll see the white donation tent on the right. Honk a couple of times and a warehouse worker will assist you.
What will they take? #
- Glassware including wine glasses
- Home décor
- Fine china with metallic edging (sometimes)
- Dishes with chips on non-eating surfaces (try to limit how much damaged goods we give them)
- Vases – glass and ceramic
- Vintage books
- Small kitchen appliances
- Pots and pans that are not pristine
- Clean, large rugs
- Small furniture, even with some minor scratches
- Antiques
- Collectibles
- Household items
- Kitchenware
- Jewelry
- Single glasses with sport or beer logos
- Single coffee mugs with tasteful logo
