The master copy of the dresser instructions with helpful notes are in the furniture build bin. One sorting table is roughly enough space for 2 people to work on a dresser. But stations should be spread out as best as possible. If needed, set up folding tables too.
Dresser builds are typically self-guided. Volunteers tend to get right to work using the directions in their dresser box. Leaders are primarily there to provide guidance.
Volunteers can skip the wall mounting steps. They must include the wall anchor hardware and the directions in the top drawer at the end.
Each station should have:
- screwdriver (phillips & flathead) (in bin + supplement from warehouse tools)
- hammer (in bin + supplement from warehouse tools)
- a cup for extra parts (in bin)
- scissors (to open the box)
Stations share:
- drills with phillips bit – helpful for knobs
PLEASE RETURN ALL FURNITURE BUILD HAMMERS AND SCREWDRIVERS (labeled FB) TO THE BIN. These should not go in with the rest of the warehouse tools.
